Materials Data on CuP4Se3Cl by Materials Project

CuClP4Se3 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of four tetraphosphorous triselenide molecules and two CuCl ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. In each CuCl ribbon, Cu1+ is bonded in a water-like geometry to two equivalent Cl1- atoms. There are one shorter (2.31 Å) and one longer (2.37 Å) Cu–Cl bond lengths. Cl1- is bonded in a bent 120 degrees geometry to two equivalent Cu1+ atoms.
