Materials Data on CoTeO3 by Materials Project
CoTeO3 is Orthorhombic Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Co2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing CoO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 47–52°. There are a spread of Co–O bond distances ranging from 2.10–2.30 Å. Te4+ is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.94 Å) and two longer (1.96 Å) Te–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Co2+ and one Te4+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Co2+ and one Te4+ atom.
