Materials Data on CoHgS4 by Materials Project
CoHgS4 crystallizes in the tetragonal I-4 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Co2+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent S1- atoms. All Co–S bond lengths are 2.08 Å. Hg2+ is bonded in a square co-planar geometry to four equivalent S1- atoms. All Hg–S bond lengths are 2.59 Å. S1- is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to one Co2+ and one Hg2+ atom.
