Materials Data on YCoGe by Materials Project

YCoGe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Y is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Co and five equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Y–Co bond distances ranging from 2.90–3.02 Å. There are a spread of Y–Ge bond distances ranging from 2.95–3.03 Å. Co is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Y and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are three shorter (2.46 Å) and one longer (2.61 Å) Co–Ge bond lengths. Ge is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Y and four equivalent Co atoms.

Materials Data on Y3Co4Ge13 by Materials Project

Y3Co4Ge13 crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3n space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Y is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Co and twelve equivalent Ge atoms. All Y–Co bond lengths are 3.12 Å. There are four shorter (3.09 Å) and eight longer (3.11 Å) Y–Ge bond lengths. Co is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Y and six equivalent Ge atoms. All Co–Ge bond lengths are 2.41 Å. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Y, two equivalent Co, and one Ge atom. The Ge–Ge bond length is 2.99 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a cuboctahedral geometry to twelve equivalent Ge atoms.

Materials Data on YCoGe2 by Materials Project

YCoGe2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Y is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Co and ten Ge atoms. All Y–Co bond lengths are 3.22 Å. There are a spread of Y–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.08–3.23 Å. Co is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Y and five Ge atoms. There are one shorter (2.26 Å) and four longer (2.37 Å) Co–Ge bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ge sites. In the first Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Y, one Co, and two equivalent Ge atoms. Both Ge–Ge bond lengths are 2.57 Å. In the second Ge site, Ge is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Y and four equivalent Co atoms.

Materials Data on YCo4Ge by Materials Project

YCo4Ge crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Y is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to fourteen Co and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Y–Co bond distances ranging from 2.84–3.17 Å. All Y–Ge bond lengths are 3.19 Å. There are two inequivalent Co sites. In the first Co site, Co is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Y, four equivalent Co, and two equivalent Ge atoms. All Co–Co bond lengths are 2.46 Å. Both Co–Ge bond lengths are 2.46 Å. In the second Co site, Co is bonded to four equivalent Y, six Co, and two equivalent Ge atoms to form distorted CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, corners with twelve equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra, edges with four equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, and faces with six equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra. Both Co–Co bond lengths are 2.48 Å. Both Co–Ge bond lengths are 2.47 Å. Ge is bonded to four equivalent Y and eight Co atoms to form distorted GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra that share corners with eight equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra, corners with eight equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, edges with two equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra, faces with two equivalent GeY4Co8 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent CoY4Co6Ge2 cuboctahedra.
