Materials Data on CeTlSe2 by Materials Project
TlCeSe2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce3+ is bonded to four equivalent Se2- atoms to form distorted edge-sharing CeSe4 tetrahedra. All Ce–Se bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Tl1+ is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Se2- atoms. All Tl–Se bond lengths are 3.41 Å. Se2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ce3+ and four equivalent Tl1+ atoms.
