Materials Data on CeCo2 by Materials Project

CeCo2 is Cubic Laves structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fd-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Co atoms. All Ce–Co bond lengths are 2.93 Å. Co is bonded to six equivalent Ce and six equivalent Co atoms to form a mixture of edge, face, and corner-sharing CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra. All Co–Co bond lengths are 2.50 Å.

Materials Data on Ce2Co17 by Materials Project

Ce2Co17 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to twenty Co atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Co bond distances ranging from 2.88–3.14 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to eighteen Co atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Co bond distances ranging from 2.95–3.27 Å. There are four inequivalent Co sites. In the first Co site, Co is bonded to three Ce and nine Co atoms to form distorted CoCe3Co9 cuboctahedra that share corners with twenty-three CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra, edges with ten CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra, and faces with twenty CoCe3Co9 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.41–2.61 Å. In the second Co site, Co is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Ce and thirteen Co atoms. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.34–2.67 Å. In the third Co site, Co is bonded to two equivalent Ce and ten Co atoms to form CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra that share corners with twenty-two CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra, edges with ten CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra, and faces with eighteen CoCe3Co9 cuboctahedra. All Co–Co bond lengths are 2.39 Å. In the fourth Co site, Co is bonded to two Ce and ten Co atoms to form distorted CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra that share corners with twenty-four CoCe3Co9 cuboctahedra, edges with five CoCe2Co10 cuboctahedra, and faces with twenty-one CoCe3Co9 cuboctahedra. There are one shorter (2.33 Å) and one longer (2.46 Å) Co–Co bond lengths.

Materials Data on CeCo3 by Materials Project

CeCo3 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a distorted hexagonal planar geometry to eighteen Co atoms. There are six shorter (2.82 Å) and twelve longer (3.17 Å) Ce–Co bond lengths. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve Co atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Co bond distances ranging from 2.86–3.19 Å. There are three inequivalent Co sites. In the first Co site, Co is bonded to six equivalent Ce and six equivalent Co atoms to form CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra, and faces with eighteen equivalent CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra. All Co–Co bond lengths are 2.58 Å. In the second Co site, Co is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce and nine Co atoms. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.45–2.82 Å. In the third Co site, Co is bonded to five Ce and seven Co atoms to form CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra that share corners with seventeen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra. There are two shorter (2.44 Å) and two longer (2.46 Å) Co–Co bond lengths.

Materials Data on CeCo5 by Materials Project

CeCo5 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ce is bonded in a distorted hexagonal planar geometry to eighteen Co atoms. There are six shorter (2.82 Å) and twelve longer (3.16 Å) Ce–Co bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Co sites. In the first Co site, Co is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce and nine Co atoms. There are six shorter (2.46 Å) and three longer (2.82 Å) Co–Co bond lengths. In the second Co site, Co is bonded to four equivalent Ce and eight Co atoms to form a mixture of edge, corner, and face-sharing CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra. All Co–Co bond lengths are 2.44 Å.

Materials Data on Ce2Co7 by Materials Project

Ce2Co7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Cmcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ce sites. In the first Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve Co atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Co bond distances ranging from 2.83–3.18 Å. In the second Ce site, Ce is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to eighteen Co atoms. There are a spread of Ce–Co bond distances ranging from 2.82–3.25 Å. There are seven inequivalent Co sites. In the first Co site, Co is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce and nine Co atoms. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.85 Å. In the second Co site, Co is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ce and nine Co atoms. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.41–2.51 Å. In the third Co site, Co is bonded to six equivalent Ce and six Co atoms to form CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra, and faces with eighteen CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra. There are two shorter (2.55 Å) and four longer (2.56 Å) Co–Co bond lengths. In the fourth Co site, Co is bonded to four equivalent Ce and eight Co atoms to form CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra that share corners with sixteen CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra, edges with ten CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, and faces with ten CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.43–2.46 Å. In the fifth Co site, Co is bonded to four equivalent Ce and eight Co atoms to form CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra that share corners with sixteen CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra, edges with ten CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, and faces with ten CoCe4Co8 cuboctahedra. In the sixth Co site, Co is bonded to five Ce and seven Co atoms to form distorted CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra that share corners with seventeen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra, edges with eight CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Co–Co bond distances ranging from 2.43–2.47 Å. In the seventh Co site, Co is bonded to five Ce and seven Co atoms to form distorted CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra that share corners with seventeen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra, edges with eight CoCe5Co7 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen CoCe6Co6 cuboctahedra.
