Materials Data on MgCdPt2 by Materials Project

MgPt2Cd crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two MgPt2Cd ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Mg–Pt bond lengths are 2.43 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg2+ and one Cd2+ atom. The Pt–Cd bond length is 2.60 Å. Cd2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms.

Materials Data on Mg2CdPt by Materials Project

Mg2PtCd crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Mg2PtCd ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pt and one Cd atom. The Mg–Pt bond length is 2.42 Å. The Mg–Cd bond length is 2.81 Å. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Mg atoms.
