Materials Data on Sr(CdGe)2 by Materials Project

Sr(CdGe)2 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Cd and eight equivalent Ge atoms. All Sr–Cd bond lengths are 3.74 Å. All Sr–Ge bond lengths are 3.48 Å. Cd is bonded to four equivalent Sr and four equivalent Ge atoms to form a mixture of distorted corner, edge, and face-sharing CdSr4Ge4 tetrahedra. All Cd–Ge bond lengths are 2.84 Å. Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Sr, four equivalent Cd, and one Ge atom. The Ge–Ge bond length is 2.56 Å.

Materials Data on Sr2CdGe by Materials Project

Sr2CdGe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Sr2CdGe ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Sr is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Ge atom. The Sr–Cd bond length is 3.57 Å. The Sr–Ge bond length is 2.96 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Sr atoms. Ge is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Sr atoms.

Materials Data on SrCdGe by Materials Project

SrCdGe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Cd and five equivalent Ge atoms. There are a spread of Sr–Cd bond distances ranging from 3.41–3.67 Å. There are a spread of Sr–Ge bond distances ranging from 3.28–3.35 Å. Cd is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Sr and four equivalent Ge atoms. There are two shorter (2.85 Å) and two longer (2.95 Å) Cd–Ge bond lengths. Ge is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Sr and four equivalent Cd atoms.
