Materials Data on CaNiTe by Materials Project
CaNiTe is half-Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded to six equivalent Ni and four equivalent Te atoms to form a mixture of distorted face and corner-sharing CaNi6Te4 tetrahedra. All Ca–Ni bond lengths are 3.35 Å. All Ca–Te bond lengths are 2.90 Å. Ni is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ca and four equivalent Te atoms. All Ni–Te bond lengths are 2.90 Å. Te is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ca and four equivalent Ni atoms.
