Materials Data on Ca2ZnCd by Materials Project

Ca2CdZn is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Cd and four equivalent Zn atoms. All Ca–Cd bond lengths are 3.27 Å. All Ca–Zn bond lengths are 3.27 Å. Cd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Ca atoms. Zn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Ca atoms.

Materials Data on Ca2ZnCd by Materials Project

Ca2CdZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ca2CdZn ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Zn atom. The Ca–Cd bond length is 3.44 Å. The Ca–Zn bond length is 3.35 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms.
