Materials Data on Ca2MgPt2 by Materials Project
Ca2MgPt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Pt atoms. There are two shorter (3.08 Å) and four longer (3.11 Å) Ca–Pt bond lengths. Mg is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Pt atoms. All Mg–Pt bond lengths are 2.67 Å. Pt is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Ca and two equivalent Mg atoms.
