Materials Data on Ca2AlCd by Materials Project
Ca2CdAl crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ca2CdAl ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Al atom. The Ca–Cd bond length is 3.35 Å. The Ca–Al bond length is 2.93 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms.
