Materials Data on CaSmZn2 by Materials Project
CaSmZn2 is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ca is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Zn atoms. There are two shorter (3.16 Å) and six longer (3.17 Å) Ca–Zn bond lengths. Sm is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Zn atoms. There are two shorter (3.16 Å) and six longer (3.17 Å) Sm–Zn bond lengths. Zn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Ca and four equivalent Sm atoms.
