Materials Data on CaScHg2 by Materials Project
CaScHg2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CaScHg2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms. Both Ca–Hg bond lengths are 3.16 Å. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Hg atoms. Both Sc–Hg bond lengths are 2.95 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ca and one Sc atom.
