Ca(NO5)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ca(NO5)2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O atoms. There are a spread of Ca–O bond distances ranging from 2.39–2.88 Å. There are two inequivalent N sites. In the first N site, N is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O atoms. There are a spread of N–O bond distances ranging from 1.22–1.31 Å. In the second N site, N is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O atoms. There are a spread of N–O bond distances ranging from 1.23–1.29 Å. There are ten inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a water-like geometry to one Ca and one N atom. In the second O site, O is bonded in a water-like geometry to one Ca and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.33 Å. In the third O site, O is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one Ca and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.23 Å. In the fourth O site, O is bonded in a water-like geometry to one Ca and one N atom. In the fifth O site, O is bonded in a bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ca and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.28 Å. In the sixth O site, O is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ca and one N atom. In the seventh O site, O is bonded in a bent 120 degrees geometry to two O atoms. In the eighth O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N atom. In the ninth O site, O is bonded in a distorted L-shaped geometry to one Ca and one N atom. In the tenth O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N atom.

Materials Data on Ca(NO5)2 by Materials Project

(CaN2O9)2O2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of two hydrogen peroxide molecules and two CaN2O9 clusters. In each CaN2O9 cluster, Ca is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O atoms. There are a spread of Ca–O bond distances ranging from 2.36–2.84 Å. There are two inequivalent N sites. In the first N site, N is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O atoms. There is one shorter (1.23 Å) and two longer (1.29 Å) N–O bond length. In the second N site, N is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O atoms. There are a spread of N–O bond distances ranging from 1.22–1.30 Å. There are nine inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N atom. In the second O site, O is bonded in a bent 120 degrees geometry to two O atoms. There is one shorter (1.30 Å) and one longer (1.31 Å) O–O bond length. In the third O site, O is bonded in an L-shaped geometry to one Ca and one O atom. In the fourth O site, O is bonded in an L-shaped geometry to one Ca and one N atom. In the fifth O site, O is bonded in an L-shaped geometry to one Ca and one N atom. In the sixth O site, O is bonded in a water-like geometry to one Ca and one O atom. In the seventh O site, O is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one N atom. In the eighth O site, O is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to two equivalent Ca and one N atom. In the ninth O site, O is bonded in a water-like geometry to one Ca and one N atom.

CaH8(NO5)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one CaH8(NO5)2 sheet oriented in the (-1, 0, 2) direction. Ca2+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ca–O bond distances ranging from 2.39–2.70 Å. There are two inequivalent N5+ sites. In the first N5+ site, N5+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of N–O bond distances ranging from 1.24–1.29 Å. In the second N5+ site, N5+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is two shorter (1.26 Å) and one longer (1.29 Å) N–O bond length. There are eight inequivalent H1+ sites. In the first H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 0.99 Å. In the second H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to two O2- atoms. CaRe2CH6(NO5)2 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of one CaRe2CH6(NO5)2 sheet oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Ca2+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ca–O bond distances ranging from 2.43–2.58 Å. There are two inequivalent Re7+ sites. In the first Re7+ site, Re7+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four O2- atoms. There is two shorter (1.75 Å) and two longer (1.76 Å) Re–O bond length. In the second Re7+ site, Re7+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Re–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.77 Å. C4+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to two N3- and one O2- atom. There is one shorter (1.34 Å) and one longer (1.35 Å) C–N bond length. The C–O bond length is 1.28 Å. CaH12S2(NO5)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of two CaH12S2(NO5)2 sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Ca2+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ca–O bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.52 Å. N5+ is bonded in a distorted trigonal non-coplanar geometry to two H1+ and one S2- atom. Both N–H bond lengths are 1.03 Å. The N–S bond length is 1.62 Å. There are six inequivalent H1+ sites. In the first H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 0.99 Å. In the second H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom.
