Materials Data on Mg12Fe4C2O47 by Materials Project

Mg12Fe4C2O35(O2)6 crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional and consists of six hydrogen peroxide molecules and one Mg12Fe4C2O35 framework. In the Mg12Fe4C2O35 framework, there are twelve inequivalent Mg sites. In the first Mg site, Mg is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to five O atoms. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 1.86–2.59 Å. In the second Mg site, Mg is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to four O atoms. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 1.86–2.77 Å. In the third Mg site, Mg is bonded to four O atoms to form distorted MgO4 tetrahedra that share an edgeedge with one FeO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 1.88–2.15 Å. In the fourth Mg site, Mg is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O atoms. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 1.89–2.54 Å. In the fifth Mg site, Mg is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to four O atoms. In the third Fe site, Fe is bonded in a see-saw-like geometry to four O atoms. There are a spread of Fe–O bond distances ranging from 1.81–1.86 Å. In the fourth Fe site, Fe is bonded in a see-saw-like geometry to four O atoms. There are a spread of Fe–O bond distances ranging from 1.81–1.87 Å. There are two inequivalent C sites. In the first C site, C is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O atoms. There is one shorter (1.21 Å) and two longer (1.37 Å) C–O bond length. In the sixteenth O site, O is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to two Mg and one Fe atom. In the seventeenth O site, O is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to one Mg, one Fe, and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.48 Å. In the eighteenth O site, O is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to one Mg, one Fe, and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.48 Å. In the nineteenth O site, O is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Mg atoms. In the twentieth O site, O is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Mg atoms. In the twenty-first O site, O is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Mg atoms. In the twenty-second O site, O is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Mg and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.23 Å. In the twenty-third O site, O is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to three Mg and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.24 Å. In the twenty-fourth O site, O is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three Mg and one O atom. The O–O bond length is 1.24 Å. Materials Data on MgFe(CO3)2 by Materials Project

MgFe(CO3)2 is Calcite-derived structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R-3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mg2+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form MgO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent FeO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 59°. All Mg–O bond lengths are 2.12 Å. Fe2+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form FeO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 59°. All Fe–O bond lengths are 2.18 Å. C4+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent O2- atoms. All C–O bond lengths are 1.30 Å. O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Mg2+, one Fe2+, and one C4+ atom.

Materials Data on Mg30FeCO32 by Materials Project

Mg30FeCO32 is alpha Po-derived structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are eight inequivalent Mg2+ sites. In the first Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form MgO6 octahedra that share corners with two equivalent FeO6 octahedra, corners with four MgO6 octahedra, and edges with twelve MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. There are two shorter (2.10 Å) and four longer (2.13 Å) Mg–O bond lengths. In the second Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form MgO6 octahedra that share corners with two equivalent CO6 octahedra, corners with four MgO6 octahedra, and edges with twelve MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 2.11–2.13 Å. In the third Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Mg–O bond lengths are 2.13 Å. In the fourth Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Mg–O bond lengths are 2.13 Å. In the fifth Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form MgO6 octahedra that share corners with six MgO6 octahedra, an edgeedge with one FeO6 octahedra, an edgeedge with one CO6 octahedra, and edges with ten MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–2°. There are a spread of Mg–O bond distances ranging from 2.11–2.14 Å. In the sixth Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Mg–O bond lengths are 2.13 Å. In the seventh Mg2+ site, Mg2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form MgO6 octahedra that share corners with six MgO6 octahedra, an edgeedge with one FeO6 octahedra, and edges with eleven MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. There are two shorter (2.13 Å) and four longer (2.16 Å) Fe–O bond lengths. C2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form CO6 octahedra that share corners with two equivalent FeO6 octahedra, corners with four equivalent MgO6 octahedra, and edges with twelve MgO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. There are two shorter (2.12 Å) and four longer (2.14 Å) C–O bond lengths. There are eleven inequivalent O2- sites. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded to five Mg2+ and one C2+ atom to form OMg5C octahedra that share corners with six OMg5Fe octahedra and edges with twelve OMg5C octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–2°. There are two shorter (2.11 Å) and two longer (2.12 Å) O–Mg bond lengths. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded to six Mg2+ atoms to form OMg6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent OMg6 octahedra and edges with twelve OMg5Fe octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–1°. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded to four equivalent Mg2+, one Fe2+, and one C2+ atom to form OMg4FeC octahedra that share corners with six OMg4FeC octahedra and edges with twelve OMg5Fe octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded to four equivalent Mg2+, one Fe2+, and one C2+ atom to form OMg4FeC octahedra that share corners with six OMg4FeC octahedra and edges with twelve OMg5Fe octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All O–Mg bond lengths are 2.12 Å. In the ninth O2- site, O2- is bonded to six Mg2+ atoms to form OMg6 octahedra that share corners with six OMg4FeC octahedra and edges with twelve OMg5Fe octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. In the tenth O2- site, O2- is bonded to six Mg2+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OMg6 octahedra.
