Materials Data on BeZnPt2 by Materials Project
BePt2Zn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BePt2Zn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Be–Pt bond lengths are 2.04 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be2+ and one Zn2+ atom. The Pt–Zn bond length is 2.46 Å. Zn2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms.
