Materials Data on BeGePt2 by Materials Project
BePt2Ge crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BePt2Ge ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Be–Pt bond lengths are 2.18 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be2+ and one Ge2+ atom. The Pt–Ge bond length is 2.29 Å. Ge2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms.
