Materials Data on BeFePt2 by Materials Project
BeFePt2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BeFePt2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Be–Pt bond lengths are 2.13 Å. Fe2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Fe–Pt bond lengths are 2.29 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be2+ and one Fe2+ atom.
