Materials Data on BeCrIr2 by Materials Project
BeCrIr2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BeCrIr2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both Be–Ir bond lengths are 2.28 Å. Cr is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ir atoms. Both Cr–Ir bond lengths are 2.08 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be and one Cr atom.
