Materials Data on BeGaPt2 by Materials Project
BePt2Ga crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two BePt2Ga ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Be2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms. Both Be–Pt bond lengths are 2.07 Å. Pt2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Be2+ and one Ga2+ atom. The Pt–Ga bond length is 2.37 Å. Ga2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pt2- atoms.
