Materials Data on Ba2MgZn by Materials Project
Ba2MgZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2MgZn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ba is bonded in a linear geometry to one Mg and one Zn atom. The Ba–Mg bond length is 3.58 Å. The Ba–Zn bond length is 3.13 Å. Mg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms.
