Materials Data on Ba2HgSb by Materials Project
Ba2HgSb crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2HgSb ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Ba is bonded in a linear geometry to one Hg and one Sb atom. The Ba–Hg bond length is 3.79 Å. The Ba–Sb bond length is 3.08 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms. Sb is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms.
