Materials Data on Ba2HgAu by Materials Project
Ba2AuHg crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2AuHg ribbons oriented in the (0, 1, 0) direction. Ba is bonded in a linear geometry to one Au and one Hg atom. The Ba–Au bond length is 3.18 Å. The Ba–Hg bond length is 3.72 Å. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms.
