Materials Data on Ba2CdGe by Materials Project
Ba2CdGe crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2CdGe ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ba is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Ge atom. The Ba–Cd bond length is 3.84 Å. The Ba–Ge bond length is 2.94 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms. Ge is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms.
