Materials Data on TmB2Ru3 by Materials Project

TmRu3B2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tm is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tm, twelve equivalent Ru, and six equivalent B atoms. Both Tm–Tm bond lengths are 3.03 Å. All Tm–Ru bond lengths are 3.13 Å. All Tm–B bond lengths are 3.17 Å. Ru is bonded in a distorted square co-planar geometry to four equivalent Tm and four equivalent B atoms. All Ru–B bond lengths are 2.19 Å. B is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tm and six equivalent Ru atoms.

Materials Data on TmB4Ru by Materials Project

TmRuB4 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbam space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tm3+ is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to fourteen B+1.50- atoms. There are a spread of Tm–B bond distances ranging from 2.61–2.75 Å. Ru3+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten B+1.50- atoms. There are a spread of Ru–B bond distances ranging from 2.24–2.39 Å. There are four inequivalent B+1.50- sites. In the first B+1.50- site, B+1.50- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tm3+, two equivalent Ru3+, and three B+1.50- atoms. There are a spread of B–B bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.86 Å. In the second B+1.50- site, B+1.50- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tm3+, two equivalent Ru3+, and three B+1.50- atoms. The B–B bond length is 1.84 Å. In the third B+1.50- site, B+1.50- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tm3+, two equivalent Ru3+, and three B+1.50- atoms. Both B–B bond lengths are 1.74 Å. In the fourth B+1.50- site, B+1.50- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Tm3+, four equivalent Ru3+, and three B+1.50- atoms. The B–B bond length is 1.72 Å.

Materials Data on Tm(BRu)4 by Materials Project

Tm(RuB)4 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4_1/acd space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tm3+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent B3- atoms. There are a spread of Tm–B bond distances ranging from 2.96–3.21 Å. Ru+2.25+ is bonded to five equivalent B3- atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing RuB5 trigonal bipyramids. There are a spread of Ru–B bond distances ranging from 2.15–2.28 Å. B3- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Tm3+, five equivalent Ru+2.25+, and one B3- atom. The B–B bond length is 1.79 Å.

Materials Data on Tm2B6Ru by Materials Project

Tm2RuB6 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbam space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Tm3+ sites. In the first Tm3+ site, Tm3+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to fourteen B2- atoms. There are a spread of Tm–B bond distances ranging from 2.70–2.79 Å. In the second Tm3+ site, Tm3+ is bonded to twelve B2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and face-sharing TmB12 cuboctahedra. There are a spread of Tm–B bond distances ranging from 2.57–2.60 Å. Ru6+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten B2- atoms. There are a spread of Ru–B bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.39 Å. There are six inequivalent B2- sites. In the first B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Tm3+, two equivalent Ru6+, and three B2- atoms. There are a spread of B–B bond distances ranging from 1.78–1.81 Å. In the second B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four Tm3+, two equivalent Ru6+, and three B2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.80 Å) and one longer (1.81 Å) B–B bond length. In the third B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four Tm3+, two equivalent Ru6+, and three B2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.72 Å) and one longer (1.84 Å) B–B bond length. In the fourth B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four Tm3+, two equivalent Ru6+, and three B2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.78 Å) and one longer (1.79 Å) B–B bond length. In the fifth B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to four Tm3+, two equivalent Ru6+, and three B2- atoms. In the sixth B2- site, B2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six Tm3+ and three B2- atoms. The B–B bond length is 2.08 Å.
