Materials Data on BaB4O7 by Materials Project

BaB4O7 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to ten O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.75–3.13 Å. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.68–3.06 Å. There are eight inequivalent B3+ sites. In the first B3+ site, B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is two shorter (1.37 Å) and one longer (1.40 Å) B–O bond length. In the second B3+ site, B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of B–O bond distances ranging from 1.36–1.41 Å. In the seventh B3+ site, B3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing BO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of B–O bond distances ranging from 1.46–1.54 Å. In the eighth B3+ site, B3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing BO4 tetrahedra. There is three shorter (1.47 Å) and one longer (1.50 Å) B–O bond length. There are fourteen inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two B3+ atoms. BaB2O4 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.79–3.13 Å. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a distorted pentagonal pyramidal geometry to six equivalent O2- atoms. All Ba–O bond lengths are 2.72 Å. B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.33 Å) and two longer (1.41 Å) B–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. There are a spread of B–O bond distances ranging from 1.46–1.57 Å. In the second B3+ site, B3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing BO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of B–O bond distances ranging from 1.42–1.60 Å. There are four inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three B3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ba2+ and two B3+ atoms. Ba2B2O5 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form distorted BaO7 hexagonal pyramids that share edges with four equivalent BaO7 hexagonal pyramids and edges with two equivalent BaO6 pentagonal pyramids. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.68–2.92 Å. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form distorted BaO6 pentagonal pyramids that share edges with two equivalent BaO7 hexagonal pyramids and edges with four equivalent BaO6 pentagonal pyramids. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.65–2.77 Å. There are two inequivalent B3+ sites. In the first B3+ site, B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is two shorter (1.37 Å) and one longer (1.44 Å) B–O bond length. In the second B3+ site, B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is two shorter (1.37 Å) and one longer (1.44 Å) B–O bond length. There are five inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to three equivalent Ba2+ and one B3+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to three Ba2+ and one B3+ atom. Ba3(BO3)2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnnm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing BaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 82°. There are two shorter (2.64 Å) and four longer (2.74 Å) Ba–O bond lengths. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing BaO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 64–82°. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.72–2.78 Å. B3+ is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.39 Å) and two longer (1.41 Å) B–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to three Ba2+ and one B3+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to three Ba2+ and one B3+ atom.

Materials Data on BaBO3 by Materials Project

BaBO3 is (Cubic) Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded to twelve equivalent O atoms to form BaO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent BO6 octahedra. All Ba–O bond lengths are 2.67 Å. B is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form BO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent BO6 octahedra and faces with eight equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All B–O bond lengths are 1.89 Å. O is bonded to four equivalent Ba and two equivalent B atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge, face, and corner-sharing OBa4B2 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–60°.
