Materials Data on AuBr3N2 by Materials Project
AuN2Br(Br)2 crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/m space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of four hydrobromic acid molecules and two AuN2Br ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 1) direction. In each AuN2Br ribbon, Au3+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent N3- atoms. Both Au–N bond lengths are 2.01 Å. N3- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one Au3+ and one Br1+ atom. The N–Br bond length is 1.83 Å. Br1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent N3- atoms.
