Ca2AuHg crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ca2AuHg ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to one Au and one Hg atom. The Ca–Au bond length is 2.87 Å. The Ca–Hg bond length is 3.30 Å. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ca atoms.
CaAu2Hg crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CaAu2Hg ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ca is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Au atoms. Both Ca–Au bond lengths are 2.69 Å. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to one Ca and one Hg atom. The Au–Hg bond length is 2.96 Å. Hg is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Au atoms.
