Materials Data on Ba2ZnAu by Materials Project
Ba2AuZn crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2AuZn ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ba is bonded in a linear geometry to one Au and one Zn atom. The Ba–Au bond length is 3.10 Å. The Ba–Zn bond length is 3.24 Å. Au is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms. Zn is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba atoms.
