Materials Data on Ba2AsBr by Materials Project
Ba2AsBr crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Ba2AsBr ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Ba2+ is bonded in a linear geometry to one As3- and one Br1- atom. The Ba–As bond length is 2.88 Å. The Ba–Br bond length is 3.28 Å. As3- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba2+ atoms. Br1- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Ba2+ atoms.
