Materials Data on Al2Sn by Materials Project
Al2Sn is Fluorite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Al is bonded to four equivalent Sn atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing AlSn4 tetrahedra. All Al–Sn bond lengths are 2.90 Å. Sn is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Al atoms.
