Materials Data on Al2PdPt by Materials Project
PtPdAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two PtPdAl2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Pt is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Pt–Al bond lengths are 2.32 Å. Pd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Pd–Al bond lengths are 2.38 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to one Pt and one Pd atom.
