Materials Data on Al2CrIr by Materials Project
CrIrAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two CrIrAl2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Cr is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Cr–Al bond lengths are 2.71 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Ir–Al bond lengths are 2.34 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cr and one Ir atom.
