Materials Data on YScAl2 by Materials Project
YScAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two YScAl2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Y is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Y–Al bond lengths are 2.94 Å. Sc is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Sc–Al bond lengths are 2.74 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to one Y and one Sc atom.
