Materials Data on Na4Al3(SiO4)3 by Materials Project

Na4Al3(SiO4)3 crystallizes in the cubic P-43n space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent O atoms. All Na–O bond lengths are 2.37 Å. Al is bonded to four equivalent O atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent SiO4 tetrahedra. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.76 Å. Si is bonded to four equivalent O atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent AlO4 tetrahedra. All Si–O bond lengths are 1.64 Å. O is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Na, one Al, and one Si atom.

Materials Data on NaAlSiO4 by Materials Project

NaAlSiO4 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pca2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form distorted NaO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four AlO4 tetrahedra and corners with four SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.37–2.46 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.40–2.42 Å. There are two inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent NaO4 tetrahedra and corners with four SiO4 tetrahedra. There is one shorter (1.76 Å) and three longer (1.77 Å) Al–O bond length. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent NaO4 tetrahedra and corners with four SiO4 tetrahedra. There is one shorter (1.76 Å) and three longer (1.77 Å) Al–O bond length. There are two inequivalent Si4+ sites. In the first Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent NaO4 tetrahedra and corners with four AlO4 tetrahedra. Materials Data on NaAl(SiO3)2 by Materials Project

NaAlSi2O6 is Esseneite structured and crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Na1+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.39–2.80 Å. Al3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form AlO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent SiO4 tetrahedra and edges with two equivalent AlO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.87–2.03 Å. Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent AlO6 octahedra and corners with two equivalent SiO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 32–60°. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.61–1.66 Å. There are three inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Na1+ and two equivalent Si4+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted T-shaped geometry to one Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, two equivalent Al3+, and one Si4+ atom.

NaAlSiO4 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in an octahedral geometry to six O2- atoms. There are three shorter (2.46 Å) and three longer (2.58 Å) Na–O bond lengths. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.73 Å. There are two inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one SiO4 tetrahedra. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.75 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.82 Å. There are two inequivalent Si4+ sites. In the first Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one AlO4 tetrahedra. There is one shorter (1.63 Å) and three longer (1.64 Å) Si–O bond length. In the second Si4+ site, Si4+ is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.64–1.74 Å. There are six inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, one Si4+, and one O2- atom. The O–O bond length is 1.50 Å. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to three equivalent Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, one Al3+, and one O2- atom.

Na8Al6Si6O25 crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are eight inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.27–2.71 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a distorted rectangular see-saw-like geometry to four O2- atoms. There are one shorter (2.49 Å) and three longer (2.63 Å) Na–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Na1+, one Al3+, and one Si4+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to one Al3+ and one Si4+ atom.

In the second Na site, Na is bonded to six O atoms to form distorted NaO6 pentagonal pyramids that share corners with two AlO4 tetrahedra, corners with two SiO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent NaO6 pentagonal pyramids, an edgeedge with one AlO4 tetrahedra, and an edgeedge with one SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.36–2.62 Å. In the third Na site, Na is bonded to six O atoms to form distorted NaO6 pentagonal pyramids that share corners with two AlO4 tetrahedra, corners with two SiO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent NaO6 pentagonal pyramids, an edgeedge with one AlO4 tetrahedra, and an edgeedge with one SiO4 tetrahedra.
