Materials Data on Al2VIr by Materials Project
VIrAl2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two VIrAl2 ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. V is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both V–Al bond lengths are 2.68 Å. Ir is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al atoms. Both Ir–Al bond lengths are 2.35 Å. Al is bonded in a linear geometry to one V and one Ir atom.
