Materials Data on EuAlO3 by Materials Project

EuAlO3 is Orthorhombic Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu3+ is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.44–2.98 Å. Al3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 14–16°. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.90 Å. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu3+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Eu3+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on Eu4Al2O9 by Materials Project

Eu4Al2O9 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are four inequivalent Eu3+ sites. In the first Eu3+ site, Eu3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form EuO6 octahedra that share corners with five AlO4 tetrahedra and edges with two equivalent EuO7 hexagonal pyramids. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.29–2.45 Å. In the second Eu3+ site, Eu3+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form distorted EuO7 hexagonal pyramids that share corners with three AlO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent EuO6 octahedra, and edges with two AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.61 Å. In the third Eu3+ site, Eu3+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.34–2.74 Å. In the fourth Eu3+ site, Eu3+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.86 Å. There are two inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one EuO7 hexagonal pyramid, corners with three equivalent EuO6 octahedra, a cornercorner with one AlO4 tetrahedra, and an edgeedge with one EuO7 hexagonal pyramid. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 48–61°. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.78 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with two equivalent EuO7 hexagonal pyramids, corners with two equivalent EuO6 octahedra, a cornercorner with one AlO4 tetrahedra, and an edgeedge with one EuO7 hexagonal pyramid. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 38–50°. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.76–1.78 Å. There are nine inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two Eu3+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to three Eu3+ and one Al3+ atom. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded to four Eu3+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OEu4 tetrahedra. In the ninth O2- site, O2- is bonded to four Eu3+ atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing OEu4 tetrahedra.

Materials Data on Eu2Al4O9 by Materials Project

Eu2Al4O9 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbam space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu3+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.25–2.54 Å. There are two inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form AlO6 octahedra that share corners with four equivalent AlO4 tetrahedra and edges with two equivalent AlO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.90–1.98 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent AlO6 octahedra and a cornercorner with one AlO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 48–56°. There is one shorter (1.73 Å) and three longer (1.78 Å) Al–O bond length. There are four inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Eu3+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to three Al3+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Eu3+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on Eu2Al2O5 by Materials Project

Eu2Al2O5 crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Eu2+ sites. In the first Eu2+ site, Eu2+ is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent O2- atoms. All Eu–O bond lengths are 2.55 Å. In the second Eu2+ site, Eu2+ is bonded to twelve O2- atoms to form EuO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with four equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent AlO5 square pyramids. There are four shorter (2.67 Å) and eight longer (2.81 Å) Eu–O bond lengths. Al3+ is bonded to five O2- atoms to form AlO5 square pyramids that share corners with five equivalent AlO5 square pyramids and faces with four equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra. There is one shorter (1.82 Å) and four longer (1.91 Å) Al–O bond length. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to four Eu2+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four equivalent Eu2+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on EuAlO3 by Materials Project

EuAlO3 is (Cubic) Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu3+ is bonded to twelve equivalent O2- atoms to form EuO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent AlO6 octahedra. All Eu–O bond lengths are 2.66 Å. Al3+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form AlO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent AlO6 octahedra and faces with eight equivalent EuO12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.88 Å. O2- is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four equivalent Eu3+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on EuAl2O4 by Materials Project

EuAl2O4 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Eu2+ sites. In the first Eu2+ site, Eu2+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.54–3.13 Å. In the second Eu2+ site, Eu2+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.49–2.83 Å. There are four inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.76–1.78 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There is two shorter (1.77 Å) and two longer (1.79 Å) Al–O bond length. In the third Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There is two shorter (1.77 Å) and two longer (1.78 Å) Al–O bond length. In the fourth Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There is two shorter (1.77 Å) and two longer (1.78 Å) Al–O bond length. There are eight inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to two Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Eu2+ and two Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on Eu3AlO5 by Materials Project

Eu3AlO5 crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mcm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Eu+2.33+ sites. In the first Eu+2.33+ site, Eu+2.33+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Eu–O bond distances ranging from 2.36–2.73 Å. In the second Eu+2.33+ site, Eu+2.33+ is bonded in a distorted q6 geometry to ten O2- atoms. There are two shorter (2.78 Å) and eight longer (2.81 Å) Eu–O bond lengths. Al3+ is bonded in a tetrahedral geometry to four equivalent O2- atoms. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.76 Å. There are two inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded to six Eu+2.33+ atoms to form corner-sharing OEu6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 0–32°. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to five Eu+2.33+ and one Al3+ atom.

Materials Data on Eu2Al3O8 by Materials Project

Eu2Al3O8 crystallizes in the cubic I-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded to six O atoms to form EuO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent AlO4 tetrahedra and edges with three equivalent EuO6 octahedra. There are three shorter (2.34 Å) and three longer (2.40 Å) Eu–O bond lengths. Al is bonded to four equivalent O atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent EuO6 octahedra and corners with four equivalent AlO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 64°. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.77 Å. There are two inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent Eu atoms. In the second O site, O is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to one Eu and two equivalent Al atoms.
