Materials Data on BaAl4O7 by Materials Project

BaAl4O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmc2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.87–3.03 Å. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.87–3.05 Å. There are four inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.80 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.80 Å. In the third Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.81 Å. In the fourth Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.75–1.81 Å. There are eight inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Al3+ atoms. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to two equivalent Ba2+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to two equivalent Ba2+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on BaAl4O7 by Materials Project

BaAl4O7 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pmn2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Ba2+ sites. In the first Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.79–2.92 Å. In the second Ba2+ site, Ba2+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.81–2.91 Å. There are four inequivalent Al3+ sites. In the first Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.74–1.82 Å. In the second Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.74–1.82 Å. In the third Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.73–1.84 Å. In the fourth Al3+ site, Al3+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form corner-sharing AlO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.73–1.84 Å. There are eight inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Ba2+ and two equivalent Al3+ atoms. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Al3+ atoms. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a trigonal planar geometry to three Al3+ atoms. In the eighth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one Ba2+ and two Al3+ atoms.

Materials Data on BaAlO5 by Materials Project

BaAlO5 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to eleven O atoms. There are a spread of Ba–O bond distances ranging from 2.71–3.47 Å. Al is bonded to six O atoms to form distorted edge-sharing AlO6 octahedra. There are a spread of Al–O bond distances ranging from 1.83–2.02 Å. There are five inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two equivalent Ba and one Al atom. In the second O site, O is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Ba and one Al atom. In the third O site, O is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two equivalent Ba and one Al atom. In the fourth O site, O is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Ba and one Al atom. In the fifth O site, O is bonded in a distorted L-shaped geometry to two equivalent Ba and two equivalent Al atoms.

Materials Data on BaAlO3 by Materials Project

BaAlO3 is (Cubic) Perovskite structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded to twelve equivalent O atoms to form BaO12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra, and faces with eight equivalent AlO6 octahedra. All Ba–O bond lengths are 2.80 Å. Al is bonded to six equivalent O atoms to form AlO6 octahedra that share corners with six equivalent AlO6 octahedra and faces with eight equivalent BaO12 cuboctahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 0°. All Al–O bond lengths are 1.98 Å. O is bonded in a distorted linear geometry to four equivalent Ba and two equivalent Al atoms.

Materials Data on BaAl5O9 by Materials Project

BaAl5O9 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ba is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O atoms. There are six shorter (2.79 Å) and three longer (3.30 Å) Ba–O bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Al sites. In the first Al site, Al is bonded to six O atoms to form AlO6 octahedra that share corners with four equivalent AlO4 tetrahedra and edges with four equivalent AlO6 octahedra. There is two shorter (1.88 Å) and four longer (1.95 Å) Al–O bond length. In the second Al site, Al is bonded to four O atoms to form AlO4 tetrahedra that share corners with six equivalent AlO6 octahedra and a cornercorner with one AlO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 57°. There is one shorter (1.75 Å) and three longer (1.78 Å) Al–O bond length. There are three inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a linear geometry to three equivalent Ba and two equivalent Al atoms. In the second O site, O is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one Ba and three Al atoms. In the third O site, O is bonded in a distorted trigonal non-coplanar geometry to three equivalent Al atoms.
