Materials Data on AgHg3 by Materials Project
AgHg3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ag is bonded to twelve equivalent Hg atoms to form AgHg12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent AgHg12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent AgHg12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra. All Ag–Hg bond lengths are 3.19 Å. Hg is bonded to four equivalent Ag and eight equivalent Hg atoms to form HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent AgHg12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent AgHg12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent HgAg4Hg8 cuboctahedra. All Hg–Hg bond lengths are 3.19 Å.
