Materials Data on ThAg2 by Materials Project

ThAg2 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Th is bonded to twelve equivalent Ag atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and face-sharing ThAg12 cuboctahedra. All Th–Ag bond lengths are 3.29 Å. Ag is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Th and five equivalent Ag atoms. There are three shorter (2.83 Å) and two longer (3.36 Å) Ag–Ag bond lengths.
