XFEL diffraction frames from batch-crystallized Soybean Lipoxygenase-1 (SLO-1), revealing two crystal polymorphs arising from differential hydration during sample delivery
CH4ESE is an EXI conversion tool developed in Python3 that utilizes the open-source EXIficient implementation of the W3C EXI format specification. CH4ESE can be used to translate to and from EXI format using the command line with input data or using the web server for live-translation.

A description of the spectrometer and procedures for its operation, maintenance, alignments, adjustments, and control functions are presented. The interferometer spectrometer is a modified Model 296 capable of 0.5/cm resolution over the spectral region of 5 to 15 microns configured for operation with the optical head at a temperature of approximately 80 K. Details are given on the optical system and the electronic circuits. The detector used with the optical head is mercury doped germanium kept at a temperature of about 4 K by means of liquid helium. Electronic schematics, and instruction manuals for handling the liquid helium dewars, tape recorder for analog outputs, and playback console are included.
Design principles and test results of modifications to two wideband channels, 8 kHz DS located at 44kHz and 16 kHz SSB located at 104 kHz, are given. Data cover power supply modifications, wideband operational amplifiers, trade-off to determine requirements for precision components, printed circuit board layout, applicability of original equipment specification No. 110438, and optimum wideband channel design.

Description of the development and operation of a vehicle-scheduling algorithm which has applications to the NASA problem of assigning payloads to space delivery vehicles. The algorithm is based on a discrete, integer-valued, nonserial, dynamic-programming solution to the classical problem of developing resource utilization plans with limited resources. The algorithm places special emphasis on incorporating interpayload (precedence) relationships; maintaining optimal alternate schedule definitions (a unique feature of dynamic programming) in the event of contingencies (namely, resource inventory changes) without problem resolution; and, by using a special information storage technique, reducing the computational complexity of solving realistic problems.
Methods for the simultaneous determination of equilibrium space of I-125/RISA(radio-iodinated serum albumin) (plasma volume), Cr-51 red cell mass, Br-82 space (extracellular fluid volume), and tritiated water space (total body water) are described. Determinations were made on two occasions separated by a 1 week interval in 43 healthy young men who were on a strict metabolic diet. Hourly samples were taken for 6 hours after injection of the radionuclides. Correlation of these values to the inscribed exponential disappearance curve was high. In 15 subjects, earlier and more-frequent sampling led to no improvement in the accuracy of estimation of the I-125/RISA space. Use of this method gave results in 12 subjects for Br-82 space and in 11 subjects for tritiated water space which were not significantly different from those obtained by correction for urine loss.
