Toward 2035: Forging a High-Ambition U.S. Climate Pathway

This analysis takes an integrated, innovative approach to develop plausible, high-ambition pathways through 2035 to inform the third U.S. NDC target setting. This approach combines: (1) an extensive consultation and engagement process with a broad set of federal and subnational stakeholders to build a robust U.S. policy platform; and (2) an open-source, field-leading integrated assessment model focused on the U.S. containing subnational details. The modeling tool assesses existing and possible new policies from both federal and subnational levels to assess the overall emissions reduction potential and the policy pathways to deliver the ambition needed for 2035 and leading on to 2050. In addition, we highlight how different actors can contribute to the needed transition in each sector and showcase successful implementation stories by various subnational actors.

Utah FORGE CoreFlooding Experimental Results

This submission contains associated data from 100C and 200C core-flooding experiments conducted by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The samples used were sourced from 16A(78)-32 well core. The primary objectives of these tests were to determine the change in calculated hydraulic fracture and permeability over time, under constant confining pressure, in predominantly constant flowrate conditions, while monitoring effluent chemistry as a function of time.

FORGE: Summer Internship Experience

The presentation summarizes my summer internship experience with the Fluids Group at Fermilab. During the internship, I learned about the maintenance and operation of water pumps and other equipment that support important facility systems. I worked alongside fluids technicians and gained hands-on experience with maintaining machinery, installing pipes, refilling water, cleaning RF cavities, and observing new water-pump construction for PIP-II. My projects included repairing an air dryer, learning how heat exchangers cool low-conductivity water, and cleaning the copper cooling rings used in RF cavities. Overall, this experience helped me better understand the work processes of technicians and the importance of practical technical knowledge for engineers.

NDE of adhesive bonds and bondlines; Proceedings of the 1989 ASNT Fall Conference, Valley Forge, PA, Oct. 9-13, 1989

The conference presents papers on the Solid Propulsion Integrity Program, the NDE methodology of adhesive bond strength determination, and an interface layer model for ultrasonic inspection of adhesive bonds. Also considered are pulse/echo ultrasonic methods for inspecting bondlines, ultrasonic detection of kissing bonds in adhesive joints, and the NDE needs and requirements for SRM bondline inspection. Thermographic stress analysis of bonded joints is discussed as well as the filmless and real-time applications of holography.
