Performance capabilities of Hall current accelerators determined from parameters influencing anode power loss
During and a few years after solar maximum, the dominant interplanetary phenomena causing intense magnetic storms are the remnants of fast coronal mass ejections, high-speed solar ejects.
In this paper we examine the causes of largest magnetic storms at Earth (as measured by Dst). Possible interplanetary mechanisms for the creation of very intense magnetic storms are discussed.
