The LANL Radiation Case Production Planning Tool is an executive-level decision support tool for planning related to the demand and production of radiation cases. The spreadsheet-based tool includes decision factors for stockpile program demand combined with production and infrastructure planning at Y-12. The tool displays graphical comparisons of supply and demand under different scenarios. The tool is based on NNSA planning documents and process analyses from Y12.
ReNCAT is a software application that suggests microgrid portfolios that reduce the impact of large-scale disruptions to power, as measured by the Social Burden Metric. ReNCAT examines a power distribution network to identify regions that can be isolated into microgrids that enable critical services to be provided even if the remainder of the study area is left without power. ReNCAT operates on a simplified representation of the power grid, one that aggregates and approximates loads and conductors. Microgrids are formed within the power network by setting switch states to split or join portions of the grid. ReNCAT identifies candidate microgrid portfolios with varying tradeoffs between cost and service availability.
This is the user guide for the tool described here: Development of technologies that convert carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) into products is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management Carbon Conversion Program portfolio. One such technology under development converts CO 2 to value-added products via electrochemical reduction, where catalysts are used on the cathode to promote CO 2 conversion across the electrochemical catalyst (ECC) cell. Broadly, the ECC is integrated with balance of plant (BOP) equipment (e.g., compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, purification units) in system configurations to produce the desired product. To guide research and development (R&D) toward advancements that may make such conversion technologies economically competitive, researchers may use sensitivity analyses related to the ECC system cost and performance, including that of the cathodic and anodic catalysts. This tool is intended to inform developers and Program in assessing proposed R&D on ECC systems early in the development process. Results will guide researchers on where efforts would be best directed. The tool may be accessed here: https://www.netl.doe.gov/energy-analysis/details?id=55293cb1-6881-4181-a2b0-d00b711ce74b.

This is a slide deck for the public PAT Informational Webinar scheduled for July 22, 2025. This the first webinar for PAT after the new tool was launched on nrel.gov on June 16, 2025.
Because surveillance and tracking are common in next generation wireless protocols, a user may want to have extra information about a cellular network before connecting to it. The thrust of this research answers the question: how much information can a user device get about a 5G cellular core network as a function of the amount of information the user device provides to the network?
REopt Lite is a techno-economic decision support model for behind-the-meter energy systems design and dispatch modeling. REopt Lite is used to optimize energy systems for buildings, campuses, communities, and microgrids. It is based on a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) optimization model. It is a fully automated and streamlined energy modeling tool that can be used off-the-shelf for a wide variety of distributed generation integration analyses and at the same time is architected to be extensible for user-specific customizations for advanced users and subject matter experts. It is publicly available as a webtool as well as has an Application Programming Interface (API). The API functionality enables programmatic access to the model facilitating smooth integration with other distribution systems modeling tools, and automated multiple scenarios/sensitivity studies.
