Methods and apparatus for calibration and response time testing of level sensors

Systems and methods of diagnosing performance of a level sensor of a fluid test chamber, including a data acquisition and processing unit configured to receive output signals of one or more level sensors that are installed to a fluid chamber, the data acquisition and processing unit being configured to connect to the one or more level sensors to record and process the output signals to test operation of the one or more level sensors.

Systems for passive microwave remote sensing and their calibration methods

A system for passive microwave remote sensing using at least one microwave radiometer includes a fixed body portion and a mobile body portion. The mobile body portion is configured for rotatably coupling with the fixed body portion for rotation about a rotation axis. The mobile body portion is configured for supporting the microwave radiometer therein such that the microwave radiometer rotates about the rotation axis when the mobile body portion is rotated about the rotation axis such that a polarization axis of the radiometer is aligned with an earth axis. The fixed body portion includes a motor mechanism for effecting rotation of the mobile body portion. In an embodiment, the mobile body portion includes a plurality of body section, each body section being configured for supporting a microwave radiometer therein. In another embodiment, each one of the plurality of body sections is configured to be interchangeably coupled with each other.

Systems and methods for in-situ calibration of scintillation spectrometer

A radiation spectrometer includes a scintillator, a photomultiplier, and one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The scintillator receives radiation from the environment and emits light that is indicative of an energy of the radiation. The photomultiplier receives the light and outputs an electrical signal that is in turn indicative of the energy of the radiation. Spectral data can be generated based upon the electrical signal, wherein the spectral data indicates a number of radiation events in each of several energy bins. The one or more LEDs can emit LED light through the scintillator and toward the photomultiplier, wherein the LED light causes an LED peak in the spectral data that can be used to identify an absolute energy of radiation events in the spectral data.
