Materials Data on DyTa3 by Materials Project

DyTa3 is alpha bismuth trifluoride structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to fourteen Ta atoms. There are eight shorter (2.98 Å) and six longer (3.44 Å) Dy–Ta bond lengths. There are two inequivalent Ta sites. In the first Ta site, Ta is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Dy and four equivalent Ta atoms. All Ta–Ta bond lengths are 2.98 Å. In the second Ta site, Ta is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Dy and eight equivalent Ta atoms.

Materials Data on DyO2 by Materials Project

DyO2 is Baddeleyite-like structured and crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O atoms. There are a spread of Dy–O bond distances ranging from 2.25–2.45 Å. There are two inequivalent O sites. In the first O site, O is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to three equivalent Dy atoms. In the second O site, O is bonded to four equivalent Dy atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing ODy4 tetrahedra.
