This presentation for a Nextracker-sponsored virtual symposium and webinar series leveraged PVEL's DOE-funded outdoor bifacial field study to explain potential for bifacial gain in dual-axis tracker mounting configurations. Data from PVEL's study also informed the modeling findings presented by Nextracker.
Capacity testing is a routine procedure for assessing a photovoltaic system's performance relative to expectations. The most common test method involves fitting a regression model that predicts system output power using operating weather conditions including wind speed. Structural modifications to the regression model to incorporate wind in different ways improved the model's ability to fit measured system performance, but the observed improvements were small and unlikely to change the result of a capacity test. However, the results showed that the choice of reporting wind speed and inclusion or exclusion of wind speed in the performance model used as the test benchmark can significantly change the test result.

Cyclical testing of electrically conductive bonding (ECB) is provided. Cyclical testing comprises high current flows using multiples of max operating currents and monitoring sensors with periods of no current to accelerate testing of electrical connections employing ECBs.
IEC 62788-7-3 was published on February 22, 2022. This presentation will discuss and try to understand how and why the methods became prescribed, and gather feedback on abrasives and characterization used with abrasion tests. The presentation will also cover the methods of linear brush test, rotary brush test, falling sand test, and forced sand impingement test.
