AmeriFlux FLUXNET-1F US-Hsm Hill Slough Marsh

This is the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP) created FLUXNET-1F version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Hsm Hill Slough Marsh. This is the FLUXNET version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Hsm Hill Slough Marsh produced by applying the standard ONEFlux (1F) software. Site Description - The site is currently a diked marsh - upland ecotone located at the northern Suisun Marsh. It will undergo tidal restoration in Fall 2021. Restoration work is done by Ducks Unlimited Inc. and will cover an area of 649 acres. After levee breaches, the site tower will be in a high marsh system. Water level at high tide is estimated to be 0.5-1 m above the soil. Ducks Unlimited, Inc. and the Berkeley Biometeorology lab are working together to evaluate the effects of the proposed tidal marsh restoration project.

AmeriFlux FLUXNET-1F CA-DSM Delta Salt Marsh

This is the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP) created FLUXNET-1F version of the carbon flux data for the site CA-DSM Delta Salt Marsh. This is the FLUXNET version of the carbon flux data for the site CA-DSM Delta Salt Marsh produced by applying the standard ONEFlux (1F) software. Site Description - This site is a tidal salt marsh on the eastern side of the Boundary Bay Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. This area is located on the southern front of the Fraser River. The total area of the Boundary Bay WMA is 11,470 ha, and the eastern part surrounding the flux tower accounts for 39 ha. This area is surrounded by farms and dikes. The Provincial Government purchased this area in 1974 limiting public access and designated it as WMA in 1995. This area has a mixed semidiurnal tidal cycle. The dominant species is Saltgrass (Distichlis spicata) with a canopy height of ~40 cm. The tower is in a high marsh system and was installed to analyze energy, H2O, CO2, and CH4 fluxes on September 3, 2021.

AmeriFlux US-CPF Cameron Peak

This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site US-CPF Cameron Peak. Site Description - This site was established in 2021 in the wake of the Cameron Peak fire, the largest wildfire in Colorado to date. The site is situated at 3,100m elevation on a ~0.5km^2 flat ridgetop within the burn zone between Sawmill Creek and Chambers Lake. The site, populated by lodgepole pine, subalpine fir and Engelmann spruce, burned heavily in fall 2020. The tower consists of one level of construction scaffolding with instruments mounted at 4.3m height.

AmeriFlux BR-SM1 Cachoeira do Sul Rice Paddy

This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site BR-SM1 Cachoeira do Sul Rice Paddy. Site Description - The site is a flooded rice paddy located in the Cachoeira do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil (latitude: -30.27°; longitude: -53.14°; altitude 40.5 m). The total cultivation area is approximately 1000 ha, subdivided into 100 mx100m plots. Flooded rice paddies have been used in this area since the 1980s and are a part of a wide lowland area susceptible to flooding by a stream (Pedro Paulo Stream). Channels and artificial reservoirs provide the water used.

Site Description - The site is a tidal oligohaline marsh located within the Plum Island Sound estuary, which is characterized by a tidal range of 2.5-3m and a vegetation cover of Typha angustifolia. Porewater salinity changes seasonally as influenced by freshwater discharge. Elevation is about 1.4m NAVD88.

AmeriFlux FLUXNET-1F US-Dk3 Duke Forest - loblolly pine

This is the AmeriFlux Management Project (AMP) created FLUXNET-1F version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Dk3 Duke Forest - loblolly pine. This is the FLUXNET version of the carbon flux data for the site US-Dk3 Duke Forest - loblolly pine produced by applying the standard ONEFlux (1F) software. Site Description - The site was established in 1983 following a clear cut and a burn. Pinus taeda L. (loblolly pine) seedlings were planted at 2.4m by 2.4m spacing and ecosystem development has not been managed after planting. Canopy height increased from 16m in 2001 to 18m in 2004. The canopy is comprised primarily of P. taeda with some emergent Liquidambar styraciflua L. and a diverse and growing understory with 26 different woody species of diameter breast height 42.5 cm. The flux tower lies upwind of the CO2-enriched components of the free atmosphere carbon enrichment (FACE) facility located in the same pine forest. EC instrumentation is at 20.2m on a 22m tower.
