This document lays out a set of near-future investigations in salt, the third phase of BATS (BATS 3). This phase is planned to answer the few remaining issues from the first two phases of BATS (BATS 1 and BATS 2), and to prepare for a subsequent large-scale demonstration phase. The BATS experiments are the first part of a larger plan to conduct field experiments to answer specific technical questions, improve the technical basis for disposal of heat-generating radioactive waste in salt (Stauffer et al., 2015; SNL et al., 2020), and demonstrate readiness for disposal of radioactive waste in salt, including large, hot waste packages.

This standard analysis report provides the estimates for the chemical (oxyanions and complexing agents) and cement components with a data collection cut-off date of December 31, 2023. These estimates will be included in a Performance Assessment Inventory Report developed for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) interim state repository configuration performance assessment (PA) for the 2026 Compliance Recertification Application (CRA).
The principal goals of this project were to develop key physics understandings and control solutions necessary for the realization of a steady-state fusion reactor by adapting high performance plasma scenarios from DIII-D to long pulse operation on the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) in Hefei, China. Specific research objectives include the development of physics and control solutions necessary for demonstrating disruption-free long-pulse plasmas at high physics performance sustained simultaneously with the capability of handling the plasma exhaust and plasma-wall interactions using reactor-relevant materials surrounding the plasma.

In this study, we aimed to evaluate BNR and investigate microbial community changes when the DO is reduced in the aerated portions of wastewater treatment trains. We present a dataset of metagenomes obtained from activated sludge collected from the Hamptons Road Sanitary District treatment plant at the beginning of operation, when the DO was high, and at the end of operation, when the DO was low
